Luciana was born in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian military officer. Her mom was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was at one time Benito Mussolini's lovers. There is no information available on having siblings. Luciana attended a local high school prior to matriculating into the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two females in her class. After two years she started modeling but that all changed when she was offered her first acting role in a chance encounter while visiting her father's best friend in Rome she had a very small two-line part in Three Coins in the Fountain and that's the point at which it all began. Brett Halsey, an actor herself, was her first spouse. After their wedding in 1960, the couple produced the film Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana gained custody after divorce. They welcomed a baby boy named Charles which was born June of 1961. Luciana was an actress as well as producer was a part of Tony Athony's band between 1962 and the year 1970. Tony Athony had been attracted by Luciana's performance in Green Slime.
