Ina-Garten
Ina Garten, an American writer of cookery cookbooks and Emmy Award-winning host for the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina started her career writing nuclear energy policies and budgets of the White House. Though she found the career interesting initially, she eventually dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. The store was very successful for 18 years before she decided to sell it. She then began the first book. Several other books and magazines followed. Meanwhile her Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became a huge success. Additionally, she offers all kinds of cooking equipment, items and even containers. Ina is not a student at any cooking school, nor worked in a restaurant and is completely self-taught. She is known as a simple cook and for her entertaining manner. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
